Have you ever had to seek a hand therapist?
Lateral Key Grip
The lateral key grip is one of our well-known exercises that involves using your index finger and thumb to pinch as if you were holding a key. This exercise is great from those with a weakness in their thumb muscles and want to strengthen them. To begin, hold the device with the black rubber grip against your finger and the individual finger key under your thumb. Gently press down with your thumb as if you were trying to hold a key. Hold this position for 3 seconds, and slowly return to the starting position. Repeat the exercise 10-15 repetitions.
Pistol Trigger Grip
The pistol trigger grip is a great exercise for those who experience weakness in one of their finger flexor tendons. To begin, choose any of your fingers to perform this exercise. Then, grip the Digi-Flex® as if you were holding a firearm, and slowly pinch the individual finger flexor button as if you were pulling the trigger. Hold this position for 3 seconds and slowly return to the starting position. Repeat the exercise 10-15 repetitions.
Power Grip
The power grip is a great exercise for those who want to improve their grip strength in their entire hand. This exercise can improve your hand strength and can make everyday tasks easier, like holding onto suitcases or grocery bags. To perform this exercise, grip your Digi-Flex® in your hand with the rubber end in your palm. Use all your fingers and palm to make a fist. Hold this position for 3 seconds, and slowly return to the starting position. Perform the power grip for 10-15 repetitions.
