Have you ever exercised with resistance bands? A resistance band is a multi-functional exercise tool that allows the user to do many exercises with just one band. The resistance of the band can vary depending on the flexibility of the band to ensure a progressive workout experience. With the combination of varying resistances and various diverse workouts, users can gain a full body workout with exercise bands. Below are some exercises to get you started with a CanDo® resistance band:
Band Pull Apart
By trying to pull apart the band, this exercise targets the chest, triceps and upper back.
Bicep Curls
By standing on the band and pulling up, this exercise will target the biceps.
Squats
This exercise turns a well-known exercise into something more challenging by adding the resistance band. It targets the hips, glutes, quadriceps and hamstrings. Using the CanDo® Loop Band, place your feet inside the band. Stand up with your feet shoulder-width apart and make sure the loop band is around your ankles. Then do a normal squat with your knees bent and your glutes sticking out. Return to the starting position and then repeat this exercise 8 to 10 times.
Before getting started with resistance bands, please consult your specialist to see if resistance bands are right for you.
