Classroom seating system designed with capability to add-on modules such as a tray and footrest.

Special needs children must be fed, hugged, transported and positioned. The Skillbuilders® modular seating system makes all this possible in a dignified and humane manner. Seat has a built-in abductor, contoured interior for posturally correct seating and a safety harness.

The classroom seat provides for the day to day positioning requirements of the special needs child.  Its “anti-thrust” shape helps to maintain proper pelvic position.  The seat can be used alone, as a sitter, or secured to its mobile activity base.  Seat comes with removable and adjustable footrest assembly, adjustable activity tray and headrest.  The unique harness design compensates for shoulder height differences.  A tether strap can be used to secure the seat to a support object.

• seat with tray and footrest - Seat, adjustable footrest and adjustable tray. Tray provides a surface for feeding and other activities. Footrest adjusts to maintain hip, knee and ankle flexion and to position child for optimum comfort.
• seat with mobile base - Seat, adjustable footrest and tray, and box-type mobile base. Base raises seat to preferred height. Individual may be moved without repositioning.
• classroom seat covers - Soft, washable cover provides comfort and absorbs moisture. Can be easily put on or removed.
• adjustable footrest - Footrests snugly fit classroom seat. Secure foot with padded foothold and webbing.
• head and neck support - Wrap-around hinged collar supports jaw line and occipital region for improved neck flexion, head control and mid-line positioning. 1-piece neck support maintains head in mid-line and neutral position. Attaches to any seat with velcro.
• adjustable tray - Use stand-alone (pictured) with feeder seat, floor sitter, or classroom seat. Non-slip large work surface (23”x23”) is ideal for all activities. Rubber feet keep tray from slipping.
