Weinstein Enhanced Sensory Test (WEST), an improved version of the Semmes-Weinstein monofilaments, uses five monofilaments to measure skin sensitivity and determine peripheral nerve involvement. WEST monofilaments provide reliable test results with textured, round monofilament tips. The five-monofilament instrument is damage resistant. Two or more filaments can be in position for testing. Measures 6” by 3” (15 x 7.6cm) in the storing position. Includes case (4½” by 6½” [11 x 17cm], test form and manual).
WEST hand and foot monofilaments are individually calibrated for applied grams of force: 0.07, 0.2, 2, 4, 2/3, and are selectable.
